Welcome to Nothing New

WELCOME

Wow. It's real. This website has been something I have wanted to make for many, many years and I can't believe we're finally here. I've long wished for a simple, easy to navigate website (without 60% of the screen being covered in ads) that focused on retro gaming and provided a fresh look at old games. I haven't been able to find one, so I made one.

We've determined that "retro" will be defined as two generations old, or older. Because we aren't beholden to released schedules or review embargoes, we can play what we want, when we want. Our goal is to provide a modern look at older games; are these games still fun to play in the current time period, rose-tinted glasses removed? We're going to score each game on their graphics, music, story, and gameplay.

In addition to reviews, you can expect to find articles written about... well, whatever we want. As long as it is retro-gaming adjacent, it's allowed. It could be opinion pieces, the top 10 coolest hats on the Sega Genesis, why collecting hundreds of copies of Jurassic Park on the Super Nintendo is a good idea, or anything in between.

Thank you for joining us on this journey.
